Resumo:
The objective of this dissertation is to propose a framework with the main elements for measuring social entrepreneurship at an individual level. Thus, the following specific objectives are proposed: to analyze the state of the art of social entrepreneurship between the years 2000 and 2021; identify the indicators of Social Entrepreneurship at an individual level that are being explored in research on the subject; and, to propose a framework with the elements of measurement of social entrepreneurship at the individual level. In the first chapter, a bibliometric analysis was carried out in the Web of Science database and a historiography of the field. In the second chapter, a qualitative-quantitative approach of a descriptive and exploratory nature was adopted. The research sample consisted of articles published between the years 2000 to 2020. It was found the existence of three main types of research lines, they are: entrepreneurial social intention, behavioral characteristics, and entrepreneurial social orientation. The third chapter was developed through empirical work with social entrepreneurs, identifying the variables that most influence their behavior. The framework after empirical verification had 23 indicators related to 7 categories and 5 dimensions. There are numerous external and intrinsic factors that together collaborate to turn an individual into a social entrepreneur. All factors are important, but some had a greater amount of magnitude in the respondents' speech or greater influence on other indicators. Finally, this research contributes to a better identification of the variables that turn an individual into a social entrepreneur.
