Resumen:
Final destination of electronic waste: cell phones, accessories and batteries in the city of Patos - PB. This monograph is a current topic of concern and under the environmental point of view, referring especially to the incorrect disposal of cell phones, accessories and batteries, in the city of Patos-PB. With this concern, this study was conducted using the methodology of application of semi-structured questionnaires to 132 mobile phone users, customers of the four operators (A, B, C and D) cellular covering the city, on the disposal cell, along with its accessories, and knowledge of CONAMA Resolution 401/2008 (Disposal of Environmentally Suitable Batteries). The questionnaires were also applied on local businesses that sell appliances on knowledge of the law, and the disposal of the collected material in its stores. With these data, we can assess the knowledge of users and local businesses on proper disposal of this material. It was observed that the local population is still very uninformed about this issue so important to public health, lacking interest of both the population as businesses and public agencies to interact and find the solution of the problem.
