Geomorfologia fluvial e ação antrópica no Município de Prata - PB: estudo do trecho do Riacho Acauã.

Abstract

This article is the result of research conducted in the municipality of Prata, State of Paraíba. This research aimed to analyze the Fluvial Geomorphology of The Acauã Stream and anthropic action in the stretch that runs through the municipality of Prata- PB. Through bibliographic research, the data collected in a field study with the capture of images, it was sought to understand the natural fluvial dynamics and how anthropic action directly influences the stream. From this study, it is possible to understand the current situation of The Acauã Stream, both natural factors and anthropic action. In some places in the stretch of the Stream, processes studied by river geomorphology are present, such as the influence of water in the transformation of the landscape. The deforestation of riparian forest, construction of dams, and use of the stream for animal husbandry and agriculture are the main anthropic processes that alter the dynamics in the river channel. Practices that are geared towards the conservation of riparian forest in the remaining stretches need to come into force, such as increased inspection by government agencies.
