Resumen:
This research aims to investigate the migrant from Inga in his process of moving to the State
of Santa Catarina, having as main focus the city of Blumenau and surroundings. Seeking to
identify the motivating elements for their choice to migrate, their transforming spatial action
in the place of arrival and to show that the symbolic weight of the place of origin influences
the possibility of a return. At the beginning, I highlight the reasons that led the research
subjects to choose to leave their territory of origin and seek better living conditions.
Continuing with the research, I seek to identify the migratory network, understanding its
positive and negative aspects, I also approach the spaces that make possible the migrant's
identity, spaces of domination and appropriation of the same. For this purpose, the
methodology used is based on the qualitative approach, with the participant observation
procedure being widely used, which in my current moment of life, is a mandatory condition.
Finally, I highlight the importance of the migratory network for migrants, the precariousness
of work and situations of prejudice identified in everyday life.
