Resumo:
The present work aims, above all, to reflect about the female education in the 20th century in Paraíba as from the figure of the teacher and poet Anayde da Costa Beiriz. For this investigation, take all into as reference the life and work of the teacher and poet Anayde da Costa Beiriz, who through her emancipatory practices and her unsubmissive writing left very important contributions to Paraíba education and in feminist struggles. The main sources for the development of this work are the productions of the poet which were published in the periodicals: Revista da Cidade, Revista Era Nova and Revista Ilustração and, nowadays it is digitalized at Fundação Joaquim Nabuco, as also the works Anayde Beiriz: Paixão e morte na Revolução de 1930 (1983), by José Joffily and Anayde Beiriz: Panthera dos olhos dormentes (2005), written by Marcos Aranha, beyond the other works previously produced about the intellectual mentioned and on those who deal with female education in the aforementioned period. In this way, is worth highlighting the intend to think about an Anayde Beiriz who lived and produced herself in her writings, lines which are imbricated her subjectivity and her singularity, so that take into account the importance to scrutinize those that were the bases of her social formation, under the contours of the period in which lived, and that bring the legacy of resistance and achievements, to her literary writing and her magisterium. Thus, for the construction of this work, we dialog with authors such as Michel Foucault (1982), Margareth Rago (1994), Guacira Louro (2002), Alômia Abrantes (2008), Ana Maria Coutinho Sales (2005), Maria do Socorro Cipriano (2002), among others.
