Résumé:
Deactivating a dump does not extinguish the impacts that it can still cause. Such as: bad odors, the proliferation of disease vectors, soil, air and water pollution, which are continuous problems after the closure of the dump. The need to carry out the introduction of a green area, in the landfill area, aims to collaborate with the reduction of impacts and environmental recovery. In this context, the work aimed to introduce a green area in the Sertânia dump, using the phytoextraction method, which is one of the mechanisms within the phytoremediation study was carried out in several stages, from the evaluation of the study area, until the preparation of the area to introduce the species of seedlings. Through the analyses, it was verified good soil fertility, and presence of pollutants, such as lead and cadmium; one of the main pollutants in the air was methane. It was possible to determine species with phytoremediator potential, as well as the need to monitor their growth. The study reinforces the importance of research on this topic so that you can have results on the most suitable species for phytoremediation purposes in landfill areas.
