Sensibilidades e representações na construção do espaço urbano aroeirense entre sonhos, desejos e práticas (1920-1960).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the city Aroeiras located at a specific time, 1920 and 1960, when he experienced a considerable number of changes felt and experienced by many of its former inhabitants. At this time, we understand the different "projects" gifts around your building material, passing by the changes and introduction of certain equipment and gadgets that were platted in modern prints "imaginary" urban aroeirense. In addition, we try to understand how their former residents felt, welcomed accounted for such changes, ie, paying attention to possible changes in behaviors, habits and practices experienced after the introduction of modern equipment, as well as before the construction of the "new" spaces sociability. Therefore, we look for in our walk emergence of certain speeches, dreams and desires adjusted for specific political groups in the bringing of "city building" with a view to detecting the building that the city wanted to "have" clean, attractive and tune with the modern world and the town that "had", and unconfigured delayed amid woods and surrounded by rural practices and habits. In this sense, this work covers the city of Aroeiras during the study period, the possibility of being read from many angles, viewed, above all, not only in terms of the legally established powers, but also through the readings made by its former inhabitants, through memory, accessed through the memories, representations agencied "by reports of space" and enabled the handling of oral history. As evident from this exercise, the presence of multiple readings, appropriations, consumption, sensibilities and representations inscribed on the changes in the urban space aroeirense back in our (re) visitation. Hence to say that, beyond the dreams and desires that have shaped the Aroeiras Gone lived with these places, environments, spaces not as modern or not so experienced as wanted and craved their administrators.
