School Geography presents its importance in basic education for being able to boost the process of formation of critical citizens to understand the functioning of the world in which they live. Based on this, this research work aims to investigate questions about the teaching of Relief in the Final Years of Elementary School stage, since the Relief is part of the natural physical components of the geographic space. Based on surveys by several authors, we noticed that the teaching of the natural physical components of the geographic space often occurs in isolation, that is, without being associated with the social. Thus, this research was carried out using the qualitative method, based on the theoretical framework and on interviews with Geography teachers. Thus, we discussed issues
on the initial training of teachers and on teaching in the classroom. As well, we analyze the relationship between the University and the training of these teachers, by probing the positive points and others that require improvement. As well as, we deepen the discussions in order to know if in the final years of Elementary School the teaching of Relief is associated with the social or is carried out in isolation. It is worth noting that a fragmented teaching does not contribute to teaching and learning in a significant way. Therefore, after the results and discussions present in this work, we present the final considerations and possible alternatives for the points that still need improvement.
