The research identified several non-agricultural activities that are carried out in these communities, but highlighted the small businesses in the food and leisure sector. In these rural communities, we identified exclusively agricultural families, pluriactive families, who carry out both agricultural and non-agricultural activities, and families that do not carry out any agricultural activity. As methodological procedures and research techniques, through fieldwork, we collected information on how these businesses were organized in the three rural communities.
Structured and unstructured conversations and interviews were carried out with residents who own commercial establishments. The field study, together with the theoretical basis, revealed difficulties encountered by these traders, and the oblivion, on the part of the public authorities, which does not guarantee assistance to these traders, especially during the Covid19 Pandemic. In the field, we carried out photographic records of small commercial establishments. To locate our territorial analysis, we prepared a map, which has the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) 2010 as its cartographic base. poorest part of society.
