Résumé:
The present work/academic work has as purpose analyze the speech of a cartoonist
from São Paulo, Angeli, through the comic books LUKE AND TANTRA, about the
new political and cultural contexts in the years 1990-2000. The adventures and the
urban universe of the characters LUKE AND TANTRA satirize a context of political,
economic, socials and cultural transformations brought by the globalization, in special
concerning how Brazil has experienced since the 1990´s. The referred Angeli‟s
characters live in a world marked by globalization processes, as the same time they
coexist with diverse localisms. The plots unfold in a fluid and flexible environment,
where the characters are always being put, and putting themselves, under situations
that reset their identities. There‟s a fragmentation of the identities, tribalisation of
behaviors, redefinition of the politics space on the new context and fluidization of the
social dynamic. It‟s intended to discuss about how the comic book LUKE AND
TANTRA, while an artist-cultural production that express behaviors, perceptions and
feelings that dialogue and put themselves in a position to face up the referred
transformations. For this purpose, we will make use of the interpretations about a
contemporary society, as the example of Zygmunt Bauman, Michel Maffesoli, Nestor
Canclini, Richard Sennett and others.
