Résumé:
Studying the rural properties as an agricultural and cattle raising production system is a
methodological strategy that can be adopted to understand the evolutive dynamic, as well
as it can help to identify problems, limitations and potentialities of these systems. Adopting
the systemic approach as a theoretical / methodological reference means to deal with the
object studied in context of the space and of the time. This analysis is fundamental to
evaluate and make decisions in the perspective of a region development. The challenge is
to develop tools that allow to get the diversities, which shows the production systems in a
certain territorial space. With the adoption of system approach as a theoretical reference,
this work proposes to make a typology of an agricultural and cattle raising production
system, to contribute with a reading of its diversity intending to identify its limitations and
potentialities. The study was developed in seven communities of Juazeirinho and Soledade.
Eighty seven families were interviewed and the data was submitted to a group analysis. It
was obtained four factors: Factor 1- Structure and production, Factor 2 – Family and
production, Factor 3 – Intensification of production and factor 4 – Pressure against natural
resources. It was obtained seven kinds (groups) of production system: Farm, siege, siege of
intensive production, collective siege, minifundio under pressure, minifundio of intensive
production and collective minifundio. Having the constitution of each kind of production
system, it was possible to identify that most of the studied systems is in process of
minifundidação loosing its productive capacities. It was also identified systems where
strategies have been adopted to improve its productive capacities.
