Abstract:
The traditional control of the nematodes gastrointestinal, through antihelminthic
generates problems as resistance, residues in the victuals and costs with labor, waking
up the need in the development of new alternatives for the control of the goats
verminose, through the biological control and I use of medicinal plants with proven
antihelminthic effectiveness. Like this, the objective of this study is to evaluate in vitro
the activity of extracts etanólicos of the pumpkin seed (Cucurbita pepo L.) and of the
juice of garlic (Allium sativum L.) in nematodes gastrointestinal of goats. The larvae
were obtained of coproculturas and the recovery of eggs was made in sieves, starting
from feces of bovid naturally infected. The extract was used in the concentrations of 50;
25; 12,5; 6,25 and 3,12 mg.mL-1 for both tests and I eat positive control 0,2 mg.kg of
moxidectina and for witness, water was used distilled sterile. The plates were examined
to the optical microscope for count of the eggs in development and movable and
immobile larvae, after 24 h, 48 h and 72 h of incubation. The extract of the pumpkin
seed in the concentration of 25 and 50% was capable to interrupt the development of
40,37 and 62,60% of the eggs, respectively. The action larvicida was improved with the
increase of the concentrations of the extract, getting to make unfeasible 92,91% of the
larvae in the concentration of 50%. THE Allium sativum eliminated 97,18 and 97,06%
of the larvae in the concentrations of 50 and 25%, respectively. In the tested conditions
the Cucurbita pepo, and the Allium sativum showed to be good alternatives in the
control of the goat verminose.
