Resumen:
Over time, civil construction has undergone several transformations with the
introduction of various constructive methods and innovative technologies that seek to
to carry out constructions that are increasingly efficient, practical and of quick execution, and that
cause as little environmental impact as possible, without neglecting safety and
comfort of its users. One of the systems that has been gaining ground in the field of
civil construction, with great growth potential, is the modular construction
using shipping containers. The objective of the work was to analyze the feasibility of
use of shipping containers in the construction of a low standard residence
compared to the conventional construction method. The projects were
modeled in Revit 2020 software and the budgets were carried out based on
January 2022 SINAPI. Based on the areas obtained in the projects, the residences
can be classified as Low Standard Residence. In the Paraíba hinterland, the
container construction is not widespread. The budgets made in the present
work show that the construction with container in the region of Pombal-PB,
presented a reduction of about 50% of the value obtained for a construction by the
conventional masonry method. This difference can be explained in the section on
infrastructure and super structure of budgets, as there was a variation of 56% in
obtained values. Some factors that contribute to the reduction can be
identified, such as: reduction of expenses with materials and labor, in addition to
a satisfactory value has been obtained for chartering the containers, since the
closest port to the city. Reusing containers is a positive thing, given
to the technical requirements of reuse and adaptation of discarded materials. IT IS
excellent for the environment and for the reduction of resource exploitation
natural resources, providing an adequate and efficient destination for a polluting material
when discarded after its original use. It is a viable solution for those who
seek to reduce costs and work time in their constructions, without losing the
quality.
