Dairy goat culture today is of great importance for the country economy, especially for
Northeast, but even with great production and as important still needs study and care.
Thus, the aim with this work was to evaluate the goat milk in properties of the family
farming before and after the application of good agricultural practices in the
management of milking. Was selected two properties previously known and evaluated
for the failures in the management of milking. Thereafter they were made two
collections of samples before and after the application of good practice, with follow-up
visits per month per seven months. These were submitted to the physical and chemical,
and microbiological analyzes, and search for residues of antibiotics. It was observed
improvement in the quality of milk after the use of best practices, mainly regarding
antibiotic residues and microbiological characteristics, but the properties still need
attention because the physicochemical values were lower than expected, demonstrating
the need for care due to the loss generated by the periods of food shortages and failures
in the handling to which these animals are subjected furthermore antibiotic residues
were still present in up to 52% of the animals. After the execution of the work is
possible to confirm the failures in the management of milking and product quality,
beyond and the need adjustments of these properties, because the improvement in many
points was significant, reaching more than 90%.
