Resumen:
With technological advances and the expansion of civil construction, new concepts and tools
emerge as alternatives to improve the quality of works, seeking more favorable results. A
prominent technology is Building Information Modeling (BIM) which provides for the
identification of project incompatibilities and faster budgeting. In this way, the present study
aims to verify the applicability of the BIM methodology in the elaboration of projects of electrical
and hydrosanitary installations of a Basic Health Unit - UBS, in the city of Boa Ventura - PB.
To achieve the proposed objective, the original 2D projects were analyzed and modeled in 3D
using Revit software. With the 3D models, the interference between the projects was verified
and the automatic extraction of the quantitative was carried out for the preparation of the
budget. The use of BIM resulted in the prior identification of interferences, enabling the
correction of 141 conflicts between constructive elements. The automatic survey of quantities
accelerated the process of preparing the budget of the building facilities, with a slight increase
of 0.11% with the use of Revit in the total cost of the work. It is concluded with the study that
the BIM methodology is capable of adding benefits in the elaboration of projects of building
installations, providing graphic visualization of a virtual model of the work, identification of
project interferences before execution and automatic extraction of quantitative, streamlining
the process of budget preparation.
