Resumen:
The electronic games sector has been on an incredible rise, moving large amounts of
money every year, the Brazilian market emerges as one of the main
in this segment, moving large numbers and counting on a large number of players.
In view of the relevance and expressive expansion that the electronic games market has
presented in recent years, and for being extremely dynamic, this research
aimed to investigate the profiles and habits of electronic game consumers in the city
de Sousa, in Paraíba. An exploratory and descriptive research was then carried out, with
quantitative approach, with data collection carried out using an online questionnaire, which
addressed characteristics related to the profile, habits and preferences of consumption. The results
show a predominance of young people as the main consumers, it can also be
observe that most live with their parents and do not have children, most take the games
electronics as entertainment, do not consider themselves gamers and watch championships on the internet, in
