Résumé:
This study aimed to evaluate the reproductive efficiency of cows bred brown Swiss
created in the semiarid Northeast, specifically in Vocational Technology Center of
Dairy Cattle RN - CVTBL - RN, located at the Experimental Station Cruzeta -
EMPARN, municipality of Cruzeta. Data were collected from 50 individual chips
husbandry of Brown Swiss cows, between the years 1984-2013. The data collected was
recorded and cataloged with the purpose of statistical analysis, which was performed by
determining the mean values and their standard deviation of age at first calving and
calving interval. We tested the effects of the month, year and season on age at first
calving, year, season and lactation on calving interval. Data were analyzed using the
software InStat 3 and compared by Tukey test with a significance level of 1%. The
statistical results obtained for age at first creates considering the time of year rainy and
dry birth and birth year were P<0.01 e 0.01%, respectively, to be rather significant,
however those regarding age at first calving, considering the month of birth as well as
those related to calving interval given year, season and lactation, were not found
statistically significant differences in these values.
