Resumo:
Class II malocclusion is characterized by a poor relationship such as dental arches, upper and
lower, which may present dentoalveolar, skeletal origin or combination of both. The objective
of the study is to evaluate cephalometrically the behavior of the maxilla and mandible
observing as the anteroposterior and vertical changes of a patient with Class II skeletal that
was treated with extrabucal cervical traction. The patient was followed for a period of one
year in the case of a medical examination. The results were satisfactory, a decrease of the
point convexity and an increase of the maxillary depth were obtained, allowing a restriction of
the maxillary growth.
