Résumé:
In dentistry, aesthetic issues are increasingly important. Modern dental implants have
emerged from Branemark researches and are increasingly present in the clinical dayto-
day of the area, with the cone morse and external hexagons being quite widespread.
Implants are titanium pieces that attach to the bone through a mechanism called
osseointegration and each system brings its advantages and disadvantages. The periimplantite
is an infection caused in the tissues adjacent to the implant due to the
accumulation of biofilm by poor hygiene, which can be modified by other factors,
causing bone loss, affecting aesthetics and function of the implants. In addition,
problems such as loosening and fracture can also affect the various implant systems.
Evaluating Cone Morse and external Hexagon in its clinical aspects was possible to
conclude that the CM system excels according to the bibliography consulted. The
present review was conducted between November 2017 and July 2018, including
research, clinical cases and other literature reviews found on the Bireme, Pubmed and
Scielo platform. It aimed to compare, according to a literary review, the clinical aspects
between the cone morse and external hexagon systems of dental implants.
