Resumo:
Literature is always seen as complex and elaborated expression in privileged cultural
space. The way teaching is performed in schools, most of the time it does not contribute to
an adequate approach between text and read. That research intends to enforce by using a
methodology that stimulates classroom discussion. It is composed by two moments:
theoretical and practical. Firstly, it is introduced an analysis of the stories “Negrinha”,
“Bugio moqueado” and “O jardineiro Timóteo”, by Monteiro Lobato, in Negrinha (1994).
Furthermore, one bend over a reading experience in Lobato’s stories in the 3rd high
school grade at a state public school in Boqueirão city, Paraíba. For that experience
accomplishmente, it is presented the Aesthetics Reception theoretical presupposed,
founded by Jauss (1979) and Iser (1979). It is reflected abault the effects motivated by
these stories reading through debate, written exercises and oral students free expression.
In that issue it is recognized that changing methodology, it is possible to give a meaning to
the literary texts, procedure that compromise the methodologes used by didactic books.
