Immediate partial dentures after multiple tooth extractions: case report. Chronic periodontitis is one of the major diseases affecting the oral cavity and many times leaves irreparable sequelae, such as bone resorption and tooth mobility. Usually, the only treatment option is the extraction of dental elements seriously compromised by the disease. In addition, as a procedure for the rehabilitation of these patients, one can opt for the preparation of immediate prostheses. It is a provisional method in which its planning and preparation are performed prior to the surgical moment and installed soon after the multiple exodonties. The use of these prostheses by these patients guarantees the maintenance of self-esteem, masticatory function and adequate phonetics. The present study aimed to describe a clinical case of a patient of the masculine gender, 59 years old, presenting chronic periodontal disease, having as clinical signs and symptoms presence of dental calculations; bone resorptions and recessions; dental mobility; vestibularization of dental elements and dental perch. The treatment consisted of planning and making partial upper and lower partial dentures prior to the surgical moment. Soon after, there were multiple exodontia of elements 11, 12, 22, 26, 33, 34, 43, 44 and 45 and installation of the immediate prostheses. The patient maintained VDO, guaranteed masticatory capacity, facial tone, self-esteem and correct absorption of alveolar bones.
