Resumo:
Mato Grosso State is one of the biggest grains-producing of this country. especially rice.
This product generates rice husk, with slower environmental degradation time. The idea is
the use of rice husk straw "in natura" as alternative material in civil construction. The rice
husk straw has been used in energy generation, which promotes a big quantity of ash. The
rice husk ash has been reason of several researches due to its high content of amorphous
silica. The use of rice husk straw in plate of assembled mortar aims reduce the garbage of
rice husk straw, its health and environmental consequences and diseases as silicon disease.
This project has as an aim the determination of mechanical properties of assembled mortar
peaces executed with cement, sand. lime, rice husk straw and steel screen, with the purpose
of application in paneis of vertical close in civil construction in regions that produces rice.
The results indicate that the paneis are peaces around 30% lighter than peaces without rice
husk straw. The resistance to assembled peaces pressure reduces around 10% with relation
to the same mortar without husk straw. It was also observed that it doesn't occur
segregation among the mortar components. It was still sawn an acoustic isolating. without
formation of echo, observed empirically. and an internai temperature inferior to 4o C. in the
rooms built with relation to a room built with conventional wall, it means. of brick and
tow. This way can conclude that its use is feasible.
