Resumo:
The present research has as its theme the playfulness in the teaching and learning process in the education of children aged 4 and 5 years. Having as general objective to analyze if the Infantile Education of Santa Helena-PB offers a teaching and learning process that contemplates the playfulness in the education of children of 4 and 5 years old. To carry out the study based on the theories of authors such as Luckesi (2005, 2014), Friedman (2012), Kishimoto (2010), Bacelar (2009), among other scholars in the area. The methodology was based on bibliographic work and field research with a qualitative approach. For data collection, we used a questionnaire containing open questions as an instrument. In this way, we had the participation of two Early Childhood Education teachers from the Municipal Education Network of the City of Santa Helena- Paraíba, one working in the rural area and the other in the urban area. According to the data found, with the teachers' affirmation that they use playfulness in their classes and consider it extremely important in the teaching and learning process in the development of children's skills, we can conclude that the education of 4 and 5 years in the municipality de Santa Helena-PB contemplates playfulness in the teaching and learning process and that the teachers consider the methodology essential both for pedagogical practices and for the integral development of children.
