The Lupus Erithematosus Systemic has been studied for many years because it is an autoimmune disease characterized by increased activity of the immune system by producing autoantibodies. In this review, it was observed that the disease primarily affects Caucasian women between the second and fourth decades of life. In the oral cavity, the ulcerated lesions are mainly found in the buccal mucosa, gingiva and palate. Diagnosis becomes complex to present a wide range of signs and symptoms, including, orofacial expressions like The malar rash (malar rash), and, depending on your symptoms are similar to symptoms of other diseases that occur in the oral region, offer the dentist the possibility of a differential diagnosis. The etiology of the disease is presented as unknown and form of manifestation is diverse, but the most common is the erosive reticular. The vast majority of patients have the asymptomatic disease, which requires prior knowledge of the dentist to have their treatment in intensive clinical monitoring in order to keep under control the lesions and oral hygiene.
