The corn crop is significantly important in the Northeast, since this cereal is characterized as one of the main crops. The objective of this study was to analyze levels and forms of chicken bed incorporation in the initial growth of corn crop. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse at the Federal University of Campina Grande, at the Agro-Food Science and Technology Center, Pombal Campus. The work was formed in a 5 x 5 factorial scheme, with 4 replications, in a randomized complete block design. Five chicken bed (surface, 25%, 50% 75% and 100 of vessel volume) forms were evaluated, and five levels of chicken bed (0.0, 60.0, 120.0, 180, 0 and 240.0 g dm-3). Plastic pots with a capacity of 6 dm-3 were used, where 6 corn seeds were sown, and the thinning of the less vigorous plants was performedfive days after emergence, with one plant per potting. The corn used was of the AG 1051 crop. At the 50 days after the emergence, leaf number, stem diameter, dry leaf, shoot and shoot biomass were evaluated. The level of 240 g dm-3 of chicken litter provides greater increases in dry phytomass production of corn cultivar AG 1051. It is recommended to incorporate the chicken bed into 50% of the volume of the pot, since the forms that provided higher yields were between 47 and 53% of the soil volume.
