Resumen:
This course conclusion work presents a research about children's literature with Afrodescendant
characters protagonists, understanding their possible contributions to the
strengthening and indemnity construction of Afrodescendant
girls in Elementary
School, turning to the discussion of issues related to the construction of black identity in
childhood and in space, and mapping children's literary works that address the theme of
black identity. This is a bibliographical research, with an exploratory qualitative
approach, having as a starting point the literature review in the area of education and
ethnicracial
relations, as well as works of children's literature that address the theme of
ethnicracial
issues. In this perspective, for a more detailed study, the texts of the
following authors were analyzed: Gomes (2002, 2003, 2008) Martins (2004); Lima
(2005), Moura (2005); Kamei; (2014); Carvalho (2015); Melo (2016); France (2017);
Brazil (2018); Fields (2019); Ipiranga (2019) and some children's works such as
Rampazo (2018); Machado (1986); Brito (2019) and Hooks (2018). This work
understands that children's literature brings with it the dynamism of existing cultures,
allowing children to develop imagination, get to know different cultures, get in touch
with concepts and values that positively imply the construction of their ideas.
