Resumo:
The present study sought to determine water consumption and crop coefficient,
in addition to calibrating the AquaCrop model for the culture of radish in order to
simulate productivity for the Northeastern semi-arid region. The experiment was carried
out in the experimental area of the Federal University of Campina Grande, EstAgro,
located in the municipality of Campina Grande / PB between the months of October and
November of the year 2019 using the variety “Crimson Gigante”. The experimental
design used in the study was completely randomized, with 5 treatments that consisted of
100, 80, 60, 40 and 20% of the water replacement of the culture with 4 replicates each,
totaling 20 experimental plots. The evapotranspiration of the average and total culture,
obtained through the water balance, presented values of 3.13 mm and 96.72 mm,
respectively. The Kc values found for stages I, II, III and IV were 0.29; 0.55; 0.82 and
0.72, respectively. As for modeling, data obtained in the treatment of 100% replacement
for the calibration of the AquaCrop model were used and validated by comparing the
values found by the model with those observed in the field under water deficiency
conditions. Therefore, this proposal for validating the AquaCrop model was satisfactory
from the statistical point of view because it presented good results for biomass and
productivity, indicating the applicability of the model.
