Resumo:
Nowadays, the point of school bullying has been the subject of several discussions, as its
practice has been recurrent around the world. In Brazil, the debates on this issue have been increasing, since it is a sad reality that desolates the Brazilian society. Understanding that bullying is characterized by a set of violent practices whose function is to humiliate, intimidate and traumatize the victim, and considering that its practice occurs mainly in the school environment, its combat has been a challenge, as the school permeates the social life of every individual at some point, and it can produce different consequences. The present research aims to analyze the occurrence of school bullying from the narratives of public school teachers, having as locus the city of Campina Grande in the state of Paraíba. Through this study, we aim to understand how this phenomenon is seen and interpreted by teachers, and also analyze the ways in which these professionals, from different institutions, deal with this type of practice in their daily lives. Therefore, we intend to promote discussions about a theme that is so important to be understood as a current social problem mainly because, in several areas, it is still misinterpreted and even misunderstood.
