In this work, CPLDs implementations of pulse width generation strategies in measurement systems based on thermo-resistive sensors at steady temperature are presented. It is demonstrated that at a relatively low cost, a system measuring thermal radiation, temperature or fluid velocity can be implemented by mixed circuits, in which
the use of A/Ds converters is unnecessary. The circuits are described in Verilog HDL and their performance is evaluated in MaxplusII*,. Also, the development of a behavioral model of a thermo-resistive sensor for PSPICE is implemented . In order to validate the model, comparisons were made between results taken from simulations obtained with the developed model and experimental results presented in the bibliography used.
