Resumen:
The painting process within the ABS sector (acrylonitrile, butayene and styrene), follows the steps below: Preparation room: the paint is mixed with stabilizer in a proportion of 4x1, then the catalyzed paint is taken and mixed with the diluent in the same proportion. Afterwards, filtering is carried out to eliminate dirt and the viscosity is calculated to see if it complies with the standard. Loading line: The parts arrive from the plastic injection, are inspected and the good ones are placed in the loading line, then it goes through a cleaning process using water, detergent and benzine. Spray booth: The conventional method is used, where people operating a spray gun do all the work. Before being painted, the parts are cleaned with compressed air and then they undergo the first coat, which is a finishing paint. Oven: After painting, the pieces enter the oven to undergo a drying process. The same only happens when all the diluent is evaporated. The pieces inside the oven pass by rotating, it is this movement that makes the pieces have a more uniform drying. Final inspection: Right after the parts leave the oven, they are inspected in order to separate the good ones from the defective ones. After the first painting, which is done over the entire surface of the piece, the second painting begins, which is done only on a part of the surface. Follow the steps described below: Marking: with a template and a crayon, mark the region where the tape will be placed, to receive the masking. Masking: It is an insulation made with plastic or paper suitable for the entire region that must not be painted. Sanding: It is done in the region that will be painted, preparing the surface of the piece to receive the paint. Demaquement: It is the removal of the material that is isolating the region that did not receive the second painting. After this process, the pieces are driven to receive the bands. And after receiving the tracks ready to be used.
