Abstract

The components for batteries produced by the CIA. MOURA INDL. OF SEPARATORS are processed by two different sectors: the plastic production sector and the separator production sector. The plastic production sector injects boxes, covers and accessories for accumulators. The raw material used is polypropylene due to its good physicochemical characteristics. The separator production sector was subdivided into the production of sintered PVC separators, obtaining excellent quality separators. PVC separators have modern and European technology. From the sintered PVC powder, microporous separators of excellent quality are obtained. Cellulose separators are produced in a more complicated process. There is an interdependent day of preparation of resin and plastisou for fillets. As a final product, a separator with absorbent paper bodies impregnated with phenolic resin and PVC-based fillets is obtained.
