Resumo:
One of the objectives of this dissertation is to debate issues related to reading, training of readers and teaching literature. Based on our teaching practice, we have as a problem the students' lack of interest in the literary texts proposed by the school.
Based on this assumption, we aim to build a pedagogical proposal with a view to promoting literary literacy, through a didactic sequence, with the genre
science fiction, for the 9th grade of Elementary School, based on a short story by Edgar
Allan Poe, “The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar” (1845). In this context, a survey of theoretical issues will be carried out to assist in the development of the proposed
intervention, with a view to also supporting the proposed activities related to the
analysis of aesthetic elements of science fiction literary texts. We believe that basic sequence work is an effective tool to promote literacy
literature and develop the reading habit, in addition, the science fiction theme is
much appreciated by elementary school students, especially thanks to the cinema and its adaptations of works of this aesthetic. To carry out such an undertaking, we rely on the theoretical contribution of Cosson (2007), Soares (2012), Orlandi (2006), Kleiman (1999),
Bamberger (1986), Marcuschi (2004), Koch (2013), PCN (2013), BNCC (2017), among
others. The discussions and work proposal presented here constitute a
valuable instrument for the teacher to stimulate the pleasure of students' literary reading,
together with the promotion of systematic literary literacy that only the school can
to offer.
