Abstract:
In Brazil and in the world, the number of prestressed concrete constructions has been growing. This fact can be proved by the large number of civil works carried out in the last decade with this structural system. The prestressed concrete presents internal tensions that are induced by means of elongated steel strands with the use of special hydraulic devices, in order to prevent or limit the cracking and the displacements of the structure, generating advantages when compared to conventional reinforced concrete such as overcoming larger spans with slender parts, to present structures with a longer useful life, and smaller deflections. In this sense, the main objective of this work is to develop a spreadsheet for the design of prestressing reinforcement and calculation of prestressing force losses in rectangular beams in prestressed concrete, in the non-adherent post-tension system with limited prestressing level. . This work also presents a comparative analysis based on theories and norms on the subject. The methodology adopted in this work was that of a case study in which, through the example, a spreadsheet was prepared for the calculation of rectangular section beams in prestressed concrete and the results were compared with those provided by the V-PRO calculator integrated into the TQS, always highlighting the advantages of computational resources in relation to manual calculation and the importance of theoretical knowledge.
