O impacto da covid-19 na vida dos agricultores e produtores familiares.

Abstract

Family farming occupies a prominent position in Brazilian economic and social development. To get an idea 80% of the food in Brazil comes from family farming. However, the effects of the Covid – 19 pandemic in Brazil are multiple and already appear in the reduction of family income or the loss of jobs due to the application of home protection measures during the quarantine and its temporary extension. In this sense, this work has as main objective to carry out an analysis of the impacts of the covid-19 pandemic in the lives of Brazilian family farmers and producers through an integrative literature review. For this purpose, the research used the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Academic Google, Virtual Health Library (VHL), Online Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System (MEDLINE – Pubmed) and Web of Science databases in the CAPES Portal database , from October to November 2021. The results of this study show that the pandemic negatively impacted small rural producers in a multidimensional way: production, income, credit, health and way of life, and in the sanitary issue. Unfortunately, it is known that, regardless of the pandemic, family farmers do not enjoy high recognition in Brazil, as observed in several analyses, whether social, statistical, legal or even economic. Added to this, there are recent moves of a political nature that aim to further deepen its obstacles.
