Resumen:
This study identifies ways to gain agricultural income from experimental farms in public universities aiming to complement the budgets of government student aid programs. We carried out an exploratory and descriptive case study in the Experimental Farm of the Center for Agrifood Sciences and Technology of the Federal University of Campina Grande (CCTA/UFCG). Also, a bibliographic survey allowed analyzing the mechanisms governing the budgetary and financial revenues provided in the Brazilian Annual Budget Law. Our results show the ways to gain income from the sale of agricultural goods, the sale of products from the orderly exploitation of plant and animal resources and the carrying out of teaching, research and extension projects in the experimental farms with the support of foundations. An alternative was also found to save resources of student assistance with the production of the CCTA/UFCG Experimental Farm.
