Abstract:
The great technological advance that has occurred in recent years, as well as urban expansion
and the elaboration of increasingly challenging architectures, has made structural projects in
reinforced concrete that were previously done manually, had a great ally in technology,
computer softwares, which facilitate modeling, analysis and design of reinforced concrete
structures. Currently, there are several softwares capable of performing the structural design in
reinforced concrete of buildings, thus this study was carried out with the aim of comparing the
designs's results performed by using the TQS V20 and eberick 2021 softwares, developed by
the companies TQS Computing and AltoQI, respectively. For the comparative study, the same
structure of a 4-floor residential building was modeled using TQS and eberick softwares based
on the guidelines of NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014). The processing in both softwares resulted in a
structure considered to be of fixed nodes, with the eberick presenting greater loads on the
foundations and larger dimensions of the footings. The TQS showed smaller displacements of
slabs and beams. The materials consumption using TQS was lower, showing one a reduction in
construction costs. It was concluded that, for the building under study, both software met the
the normative requirements for structural design in reinforced concrete, with one of the software
showing the most satisfactory results, however, it must be taken into account that each one has
particularities and criteria in the dimensioning of the structures.
