Resumo:
The use of agroecological practices through spaces of intervention can be considered a tool that seeks to awaken critical awareness in the use of techniques that promote the conservation of natural resources promoting environmental balance. In this sense, the objective of this work was to analyze the perception of young people in the eighth year of Elementary School in the municipality of Livramento-PB, regarding the theme of environmental education and agroecology. The research was carried out during the month of February 2022, at Escola Maria Salomé de Almeida, in the municipality of Livramento, Paraíba. The target audience of the research consisted of eighth grade students, aged between 13 and 17 years, totaling 22 students. It is verified with the results obtained that most of the young people had knowledge about the questions questioned, which may be related, by the greater experience of the countryside, within the school environment, considering that the students live in the rural area, being considered of great importance. importance of carrying out pedagogical activities having agroecology and environmental education as a mediating theme, enabling healthy transformations in the school and in the population. Thus, it is important to articulate educational actions aimed at the conservation of the environment and the school is the most suitable and privileged space for the implementation of these activities, as it is in the school the main nucleus for the dissemination of knowledge.
