Ensino de biologia: uma avaliação de conhecimentos dos alunos de Ensino Médio em duas escolas da Cidade de Patos - PB.

Abstract

Currently the world we live in the developments and discoveries of new technologies associated with biological phenomena have enabled increasingly integrating these findings into our daily lives. Staying informed about processes and concepts in biology is increasingly essential due to the constant changes in the political, economic and cultural. Today students have difficulties in learning to relate the content of the classroom in their daily lives, which often causes a great lack of interest from students. Tied to this point we have basically a class model exhibition, where the student attends almost passively. This study evaluated the students' prior knowledge about the biology of the public school and private, the structures of the participating schools and the levei of training of their teachers. We found that school students had higher average Geo Patos school students Monsenhor Manuel Vieira. A possible explanation for this may be related to teacher training and a greater interest by students of Geo.
