Resumo:
The concept of the Health Care Network in Brazil includes the sum of health
actions and services articulated in three levels of increasing complexity, with the purpose of
ensuring the integrality of the citizen's health care, covering health in all its aspects, considering
that mental illness can lead to the impossibility of continuing the routine and usual behavior of
the affected person. With regard to workers' mental health, the prevalence of Burnout syndrome
is highlighted as a consequence of the wear and tear suffered during work activities.
Methodology: This is a descriptive quantitative study, in which the Jibeli Questionnaire was
used. The research took place in the city of Cuité, with all the nursing care professionals in the
city. Results: Among the 52 participants, 54% are nurses and 46% are nursing technicians,
where 96% of the total professionals are female. The average age of participants was 34.8 years.
The largest number of professionals work in the Hospital (n=22), UBS (n=15) and SAMU
(n=8). Regarding the score of professionals for signs suggestive of Burnout, the highest
percentage had a score between 41-60 (42.3%), which characterizes the initial phase of Burnout.
None of the participants obtained a minimum score of 0-20, indicating no evidence of Burnout.
Conclusion: It is essential to recognize that the Burnout syndrome represents a problem that
directly affects the quality of life of nursing professionals, since all research participants show
signs of BS, so it is essential to seek intervention and coping mechanisms.
