Abstract:
Considering that agroindustries are the main organizations promoting the relationship of disequilibrium with nature, aggravating the quality of life of the ecosystem, and therefore, these have been adopting strategies in their environmental management plans within the scope of their productive process, benefiting the environment And society. Therefore, the objective is to analyze the generation of waste in the main agribusinesses of the Cajazeiras-PB mesoregion, suggesting sustainable environmental management practices for the reuse and / or final destination of these, in favor of cleaner production. The methodology adopted was an exploratory and descriptive approach with a multicaso study, containing three agroindustries, namely: dairy, spinning and slaughtering of bovine animals. The techniques of data collection were qualitative-quantitative, probabilistic with the use of systematic observation, interviews with agroindustry managers and documentary research. The obtained results revealed strategies of different management through the profile of each manager, but regardless of the type of technology adopted or size, generate waste in the productive processes. Considering that the spinning industry has stood out among the other agroindustries, due to the fact that it has a more effective planning with the reduction and reutilization of the waste generated, as the lice and the cone, adding value to the manufacturing process, as well as the use of With the purchase of 75% of its input resulting from waste from another agroindustry, and the sale of 100% of its generated waste, promoting the commercial cycle of the waste bag. By promoting, in turn, sustainable development in the economic, social and environmental spheres for the region. On the other hand, in the slaughter and processing of bovine animals, the absence of planning and control in their processes was verified, causing negative impacts to the environment, since they are slaughtered approx. 90 bovine heads per month, and that the waste generated (blood, inedible viscera, fats, trimmings among others) is improperly disposed in the middle and / or incinerated. Regarding the dairy, the actions planned to manage the enterprise are modest, perceiving the manager's interest in improving them, and that will bring financial, environmental benefits and adding quality to their production. For, being a microenterprise, its average production is approximately 1,20 L of milk per day, and of rennet cheese is 45 kg per week, making 30 pieces. Finally, it is necessary to work on environmental awareness among managers, as well as improving the technical knowledge of their manufacturing process, and to promote sustainable actions in order to promote a cleaner and more efficient production, allowing the aggregation of Values within a bag of agro-industrial waste, resulting in the economic, social and environmental development of the region.
