Résumé:
This work aimed to characterize the glued laminated bamboo (GLB) of
Dendrocalamus giganteus for coating of floors and to project a parquet of GLB. To attend the objectives, bamboo stems were treated by immersion method in chemical product (solution of 1% of active ingredients of CCB) and in water, for 15 days. Before the treated of stems, the extern (bark) and the intern (inside) parts were removed to obtain the flat strips of bamboo with 4 mm of thickness, 30 cm of length
and 4 cm of width. The "Cascophen RS" and "Cascorez-extra" commercial adhesive were used to glue of flat strips. The first adhesive is manufactured to formaldehyderesorcinol base and the second is a polyvinyl resin. The adhesive formaldehyderesorcinol is more recommended to GLB manufacture, to be used on coating floors,
for presenting larger resistance to humidity them polyvinyl resin. The tests of normal and parallel compression, static bending and shear-parallel-to-glue line, were shown in agreement with the values of mechanical resistance presented in literature. In abrasion test, the GLB of D. giganteus was compared to three commercial Brazilian woods used to floors (jatobá, ipê and sucupira). The GLB showed characteristics appropriate to coating floors. The abrasion test is national and international parameter to classification of wood for floors. In this work was developed a coating for floor in a "parquet" form, in agreement to Industrial Drawing methodology, to observation of fittings and aesthetic details.
