Abstract

The Fire Prevention and Fighting Plan (PPCI) should be seen as an obligation to protect and ensure human life and heritage, especially historic buildings of great cultural value for a society. Thus, it is of fundamental importance to correctly install and apply fire-fighting equipment and methods, so that it can be contained quickly. Therefore, the present work aims to create a PPCI for the Nossa Senhora do Rosário Church, located in the city of Pombal - PB, based on technical standards of Military Fire Brigades and Brazilian and Paraiba legislation. Initially, a theoretical foundation is carried out on important points about preventing and fighting fires, and then the memorials and projects developed are presented, informing all the equipment and procedures to be adopted for the building under study.
