Resumo:
Parasitic diseases are closely related to sanitary conditions and responsible for considerable
morbidity and mortality throughout the world, and often are present with non-specific signs
and symptoms. Thus the objective of this study was determine the main intestinal parasitosis,
causing of illness which meet distributed in city Pombal – PB, of endemic or epidemic way,
observing the incidence or prevalence and the factors that favor the proliferation of these
parasitosis, to be diagnosed and utilized in programs control and treatment . The total of
3144 analyzed exams, 29% ones show the presence of parasitosis, being the species
endolimax nana the protozoa more frequent, with 35,72%, and hymenolepis nana with 0,29%
among the Helminthes found. Among the results of positive tests to parasitosis, 8% show a
staff of poliparasitosis, 53% of monoparasitosis, and 39% of biparasitosis. The results of this
work demonstrate the necessity of sensitization for population front of the importance of
diagnostic, treatment and accompaniment of positive cases.
