The use of ceramic pieces in civil construction is of great importance, as this segment of the industry must offer products that meet a series of criteria in order to reach the final consumer. It is no different with brick, such material, made of clay, must go through processes that mold it in order to have a satisfactory product for civil construction and the like. One of these procedures is the drying of the brick, a process that aims to remove the moisture from the brick gradually, so that when the brick is submitted to firing, it does not suffer a sudden loss of moisture, resulting in cracks. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the temperature profile of a brick when subjected to certain temperatures during the drying process of the Aliança pottery, using the heat transfer equations in conjunction with the Wolfram Mathematica® software for the mathematical simulation. Then, the graphs that simulate the temperature profiles in transient regime for the boundary conditions of the first and second species were obtained. Thus, it was observed the influence that the heat flow and the drying times are different for each type of situation, so that the second kind equation showed more faithfully the thermal behavior that the ceramic block presents over time. drying. Evidencing also that the low temperatures and the long drying time are determining factors for the final quality of the product.
