Abstract:
With the Covid-19 pandemic, the presential teaching modality at all levels of education was
replaced by remote teaching, in view of that, this work intends to show the vision of the students
of the degree in mathematics at the Federal University of Campina Grande, Center of Education
and Health located in the city of Cuité/Pb over the period of remote teaching, called
Extraordinary Academic Regime (EAR). In addition, the differences between remote and
distance learning and the digital divide in Brazil were researched. The elaboration of this work
was done by reading academic works and applying a questionnaire with the math course students.
In view of the questionnaire applied, it is noted that the period of remote teaching for students
was very important, but students had to reinvent themselves and adapt to this new form of
teaching. With this, during the covid-19 pandemic, remote teaching was the way found to keep
the education system working.
