Resumen:
Slabs are one of the structural elements that consume the most concrete in their design, a fact that justifies the search for solutions that make better use of this system. As an evolution of solid slabs, ribbed slabs have been widely used in situations that demand large spans. Among these, the ribbed slabs molded in place by plastic forms offer a series of economic, environmental and constructive advantages. Given this context and due to the indispensable use of computational tools in engineering projects, the present work proposes the design of a tool in Excel® environment, with an interface produced with VBA forms, for the design of unidirectional ribbed slabs molded in place with reusable plastic molds sold by Impacto®. After presentation and validation of the tool, a study of the influence of the variation of the span and the accidental overload on the slab is developed in order to provide guidelines for choosing the formwork in a pre-design stage.
