Resumen:
The present research is the result of an action-research, proposed from the production of comics-HQ’s using a geographical theme in a class of the 9th year of Elementary School, from EEEF and Estevam Marinho Middle, located in the District of São Gonçalo municipality from Sousa-PB. As a starting point, we start with the following problem question: does the introduction of active methodology such as HQ’s contribute to the formation of criticalreflective citizens during Geography classes, based on geographical themes? From the point of view of the objectives, we propose, in general, to demonstrate the importance of using active methodologies during Geography classes from the production of comics involving a specific theme of the discipline, as a way of achieving a more dynamic and consequently more dynamic teaching-learning process reflective. And specific: to present the comics as a methodological tool capable of promoting the student's geographical imagination; develop the production of comics together with the students using a specific theme contained in the geography book; to evaluate, through the application of questionnaires at the beginning and at the end of the proposed activity, the critical and reflective development of the students in the face of the production of the comics. This work is based on the theoretical contributions of authors such as: Berbel (2011); Beuren (2017); Brazil (2017); Cavalcanti (2008); Rama (2006); Vergueiro (2020) and among other researchers working in the same theoretical perspective. Regarding the methodology, we have an action research based on the contributions of Prodanov and Freitas (2013), with analyzes of the data obtained in a descriptive qualitative and quantitative way. The results obtained were positive, proven from the favorable responses of the students in addition to the construction of geographic knowledge produced through the association between verbal and non-verbal language shown in the comics, built during the research.
