Resumen:
ln this work, it is developed and analysed a modification of the convencional rectifier
Zeta to implement power decoupling, looking for minimizing output filter capacitance and
flexing the manipulation of output and input variables, in order to obtain high power factor and
power quality. Futhermore, by reduction of capacitance value, it is possible substitute
electrolitic capacitor for mica, film, polyester or ceramic capacitors, which are more realiable
and longer lifespan, giving the rectifier greater power density and reliability. For this, the
characteristics of the oscillating power of the single-phase rectifiers are analyzed, and a way of
absorbing this oscillation by th inductor of the topology has been developed, being necessary
to rearrange some components for the insertion of an extra switch, that turns possible this
strategy. All steps ofthe operation ofthis modified rectifier are described in detail, followed by
simulation and experiments in a prototype to compare with the behavior expected in the
theoretical analysis.
