Resumo:
The present work has as its theme the literary reading of legends, more specifically, the legends of the city of Icó/CE. And it arises from the following question: how can the studies of the legends of the city icoense contribute to the construction of literary knowledge and the appreciation of the memories of this people? Faced with this question, its objective is to present a pedagogical proposal with the oral genre legend, for 6th grade elementary school classes. To achieve this goal, we discuss the conceptions of reading and literary literacy; the conceptions of oral literature and legends; we analyze and describe how the literature teaching and oral literature are treated by the National Common Curriculum Base. In light of literary literacy, which has as its object of study the teaching of literature in the classroom, the theoretical foundation followed in this research is centered on the studies of Cosson and Paulino (2009) and Cosson (2011 and 2015); on oral literature we are based in Cascudo (2012), Alcoforado (2018); and about the legend genre, in Bayard (2001). This is exploratory research of an applied nature. We propose a thematic discussion aimed at working in basic education, in order to provide subsidies for effective reading formation; it is mainly based on bibliographic research, aiming to list information and consistent positions on the central theme of this work. As a result, we developed a pedagogical proposal with the intention of contributing positively to the teaching of literature. This choice, in the school sphere/environment, becomes valid and important, in our view, because it allows not only the development of a fruitful, fruitful and critical reader, as well as a reader who is attentive to his surroundings and the cultural manifestations that surround him.
