Resumo:
The present dissertation brings a reading suggestion for a Literature classroom with the first part of the work called Hoje é dia de Maria (2005), by Luiz Fernando de Carvalho and Carlos Alberto de Abreu. In this way, we aimed to study the intertextual construction present in the opening part of the cited work from a proposal based on the reading of fairy tales, folk tales and dramatic texts in classroom. With this, we developed an action research from literary reading workshops held in a public state school in Campina Grande-PB, having the 7th, 8th and 9th school graders as our research subjects. They participated in the program Mais Educação. Regarding the theoretical framework, we have considered, among others, Ceccantini (2009), Zilberman (2009), Cavalcanti (2009), Candido (2004) Cosson (2006), Rios (2008), Colomer (2007) and Bordini; Aguiar (1988) to address issues of literary reading and/in school. Regarding intertextuality, we resorted to Kristeva (2012), Samoyault (2008), Pauline; Walty; Cury (2010) and Genette (2006). Finally, for the discussions involving fairy tales and popular culture, we based on Khéde (1986), Coelho (1985), Lúcio (2005), Chartier (2011), Traça (1992), Ayala (1988), Cascudo (1978) and Abreu (2006). Some results have shown that the activity of reading literary texts in the classroom contributes to student‟s engagement in the process of reading and discussion of the work. It has also indicated that children's literature continues to be an alternative to work the literary text in the classroom, since the stories remain addressing some of the traditional elements that constitute a tale like princes, balls and spells that deal with emotions, sensations and feelings, that is, elements responsible for humanizing us in the literary text. In addition, to meeting in intertextuality a change to retell and update their stories.
